invests in technology firms with the long-term potential to
achieve market and
financial leadership. In the short-term, our goal is to achieve rapid
growth and a sustainable competitive advantage. The companies we invest
in typically conform to the following profile.

The
company is competing in a market segment
that generates at least $300 million in annual sales.

The
company has developed or acquired
proprietary
technology or some other strong
barrier to entry.

An
experienced and capable management team is
in place (we are willing to supplement as needed).

Management
has a credible business plan
for securing a significant market share within five years of
funding.

They
are receptive to advice and
coaching.
- There is a
clearly defined exit
strategy for the owners and investors.
Use
of Funds
We prefer opportunities where an injection of $1-2
million will materially increase the company's revenue
or valuation. We do not fund
normal day-to-day business operations. Our
investment must
be directed to such activities as:

"Productizing"
a technology so that
it can be demonstrated, marketed and sold.

Purchasing
development resources for a product
as outlined in a marketing requirements document and in functional and
detailed design specifications.

Securing patents
and copyrights.

Sourcing
the goods and services required to
fulfill a major sales contract.

Executing
a well-defined and measurable
marketing and sales program.
